The Library - centre of learning
The library is the information resource centre of the school for students and teachers. It is also a place where students can read, play games or puzzles, draw and browse at their leisure.
The library also houses the school’s computer lab.
The library is open on Monday to Thursday for scheduled weekly library classes K – 6, incorporating information skills, literature promotion and resource borrowing. A library bag is needed for borrowing to protect resources.
Year 5 students may volunteer to be library monitors for a term, assisting students who use the library at lunchtime on Mondays and Tuesdays.
NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge The PRC runs each year from 1st February to 1st September. To participate, K – 6 students must complete a set amount of reading to meet the challenge. Ongoing reading is encouraged. Books read from 1 September 2008 can count towards the 2008/2009 challenge.
